Hi,  I’m Annie of Merrymaiddoula motherhood support. I am a mum of twin boys who are now 4 years old. They are my little darlings who bring me  lots of joy as well as lots of patience. Last year I completed my doula training with  Kate Woods  of Conscious birthing doula.  This was a pinnacle moment in life, as I have found a role which has ignited a passion of mine. To support pregnant women and their birth partners navigating a new path in life is a wholesome role, and one that can empower families to hold a memory of birth and the early days positively in mind. I have also now trained with the Real Birth Company as an antenatal teacher. This means I can help families to understand the physiology of birth, and the emotions and feelings that go alongside the birth event. This can help families to prepare for birth in a positive, encouraging way. I am now excited to facilitate a positive birth movement in St. Agnes, Cornwall. I would love to encourage mums and dads to come together, chat about their feelings and thoughts surrounding birth in a positive manner, and support each other during this exciting moment in their lives. It will be a peer to peer antenatal group, with everyone sitting equally around a table. We can  talk through the ways a family can give birth in a positive way ( or have done) ,  through discussing the rights of a woman and how they can seek out evidence based information which may help on their journey. I am not their to offer medical advice, but to facilitate a positive birth group in which families can connect and support each other. The group will be ran from the St. Agnes Hotel in St. Agnes- please look at the facebook page for confirmed event dates and times.
