We meet (mainly) on the 3rd Thursday of the month 7-9pm (see flyer/facebook page for all dates for the year.) Dates for the year are listed on flyer image above. The group meetings are facilitated by Tortie Rye- an experienced birth and postnatal doula, placenta specialist and mother of two. We also have the regular support of mindwives and other birth professionals who are Positive Birth enthusiasts. We meet at The Wild Goose Space, The Yard, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9YP 7.00-9.00pm. Parking is free. Please park on Mina Road, and not in The Yard. Refreshments are provided. We provide seating, cushions and birth balls to sit on, but bring along anything else you might need to make yourself comfortable. Every month we invite one or two couples to share their birth story, to form the first half of the meeting. If you are interested in coming along to share your story, then please send us a message via facebook or email: firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a date to come. We create a space to hold discussions around a monthly topic, and will bring some prompts and activities to get people talking. We welcome any questions whether relating to the monthly topic or not. Please bring some cash as your voluntary contribution to the running costs of this group will ensure that monthly meetings continue and that anyone can access this valuable meeting space. If you are unable to contribute please still come- everyone is welcome- this is a group for all! This group is managed and facilitated by volunteers who are passionate about the Positive Birth Movement. The group is not for profit – monetary contributions go towards venue hire, refreshments and annual PBM group membership costs. This group happens because you turn up and take part -you are part of the change!
